How do some animals stay warm? And can regular animals from the U.S. live there?

Michele Cross

Great questions! The animals there have a pretty decent layer of fat that help them stay warm, and in the case of penguins, a layer of very dense, warm feathers help as well. Huddling together helps, too!Lastly, animals from the US cannot live there as they have not developed the adaptations to help them survive in such an extreme environment.
