Sorry about Ishanti's polar bear question. We reminded her that there are NO polar bears in Antarctica. We also told her that the animal in the hole was not a dolphin, but a Weddell Seal. We do have two new questions for you:

  1. We noticed a cross at the top of the mountain. Why is that there? Is someone buried there?

  2. We had a conversation about garbage and what you do with it. Where does the garbage go? We have some theories. Mrs.Hall told us that you don't put the garbage in the ocean. So what do you do with it?

Sincerely, Mrs. Hall's Class

That's OK!!! People think "really cold, lots of snow and ice" and think polar bears. No worries!! Tell you what about the questions...they will be journal entries, OK??? I'll address them there....and with more pictures. How does that sound?? Hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving!! We have our big dinner tomorrow night (Sat).
Take care!!
