Will they allow you to ride dirt bikes? What type of clothing will you need to wear?

Intro to Science Scott V.

Hi Scott,If you mean mountain bikes, yes, we can ride them and the recreation
department even has ones you can rent if you did not bring your own.
But you need special studded tires to ride on the ice. If you mean
motorized dirt bikes, they don't work on ice, and we ride snowmobiles
instead.
We wear layers of clothes, usually starting with thin long underwear
in silk or polyproplylene, then a thicker wool or polypropylene shirt
and pants, then a pile jacket, and then a down jacket and wind pants.
If we are riding snowmobiles we wear more, because of the increased
wind chill, and if we are riding bikes we wear less because we are
working! But both times we carry all our ECW (Extreme Cold Weather)
clothing with us in case we have a breakdown or get stuck in bad
weather.
Best, Stacy

Hey Scott!
What do you think about being able to rent a mountain bike that has studded snow tires so you can go for a spin on the ice?? I think that if I have time, I'll have to check that out!
But, do you know what I'm most excited about? I'm really excited about having to be helicoptered in to some locations!
