what was the coldest it has ever been in the artic? and what was the thickest ice?

Hi Allyssa,
Good question! The coldest temperatures on earth have been recorded in Antarctica and they have been well below 120 degrees F. Off the top of my head, I want to say the lowest temp. was around 129 degrees below zero!!! Thickest ice? Can be a couple of miles thick in places.
