We found the picture of the WATIZIT in your photo gallery.....the AWS circuits.

Questions:

Why is the Adelie penguin called that?

How many types of penguins are there in Antarctica?

Have a good trip to the weather stations.  We will try to figure out which ones you will be working on today.

Very good at tracking down the picture of the AWS circuit!!! George explained to me that it is part of the weather station that measures the air pressure. He explained to me how it works, and I read a paper he gave me. but I would be lying to you if I told you that I understood how it works.I had to do some checking on your question about Adelies. But I found out that they are the smallest penguin here in Antarctica and that they are named after the wife of the early 1800's French explorer, Admiral Durmont d' Urville.
There are 18 species of penguins in Antarctica.
We were flying back up, and we ended up getting canceled, so we are in the lab again today.
