Hello!!!

it sounds like your having a good time down at the bottom of the earth! That game you were describing w/ the big bat might be Cricket, just a thought!

My mom and cousin Skyler want to know if you have seen any penguins and if you could possibley take a picture of them for us.

by the time you get this it will probabley be 2009, so Happy New Year!!!

Hi Maggie!!!It's great to hear from you. Hope you are having a good holiday.
I'm impressed, you are correct, the game they were playing is cricket. Do you know anyhting about the game? I watched them play for awhile and it seemed like all that ever happened was the "pitcher" (I think they are called the bowler) threw the ball the batter hit it, and then they just did that again.
It is not yet 2008 but it will be in about 9 hours.
I have not seen any penguins here in Antractica. I may not see any. Although McMurdo is on the coast of Ross Island it is surrounded by frozen sea ice, not open water.
However I did see a few penguins in New Zealand. They were a type of small penguins called blue penguins. Here are a couple of pictures of one that I saw.

The aim of the batting team is to score as many runss as possible. A run is scored when both batsmen successfully move to their respective opposite ends of the pitchh. its played w/ 2 teams w/ 11players on each. (your right, hes called the bowler) the game is also very popular in the middle east.thanks so much for the pics of the penguins, my family was very excited to see them!

Hi Maggie,I'm impressed, how do you know so much about Cricket? Where did the originate? I was and am really confused about the game that I watched, because nobody ever ran anywhere, they just bowled and hit.
Glad you liked the penguins.
It is still not 2009, but it will be in about a year.
