After having the 2nd period class e-mail you, I got to thinking that getting close to 70 e-mails/comments probably wouldn't make your day, so we are consolidating down to one each class period.

Ms. Perez wants to know what have you found to be the least like you expected it to be so far?

Tate wants to know did you stay warm in the quinzee shelter?

Most of the class said they liked the truck pictured on your 12/31 journal entry.  How do they get the heavy equipment in to antarctica?

Maegan said the watizit are the controls inside the the fire truck

Maggie wants to know do you have any more pictures of penguins or more information about them.

Kirk Beckendorf

Ms Perez- McMurdo is much more industialized than I expected and it is warmer than I expected (even though I knew what tempertures to expect)Tate- Yes I did stay warm, in fact I was sweating some of the time.
There are three ships that come here each year, the first is an icebreaker which opens up a channel, then a fuel tanker and then a cargo ship. Most of the heavy equipment comes in on the cargo ship. George said that a few years ago they flew Twin Otter planes her inside of a C5 airplane. (I don't have pics of either of those but you could probably google each to see what they look like.
 Maegan is correct.
Maggie- There are some more pictures in the Gallery section and I do have more that I did not load. I have learned a bit more about them but I have not talked to anyone who is studying them, I think I should track someone down and talk to them.
