Mr. Beckendorf,

Ha-Ha-Ha, You should have known I wasn't an alien, if you did, tell me!!! I should use that joke more ofen! Now, on to serios stuff. I love the journal, tottaly cool. And as Natalia said (Her name is Natalia not Natalie, It's sort-off spanish but, in your letter you said Natalie) you should write a book!!! I'm in your sissy's class, she is the BEST teacher EVER! O.K., sorry, I really like to talk (as you can see) but I do have some real questions:

1.When do you come back from your expedition?

2. You said in a letter that dogs are no longer allowed on Antarctica, but what about other animals from diffrent Towns or Citys (Like... People's pets)?

3. In your little room or the room you stay in down there do you stay with a roomate, friend or alone?

4. How many other people were in your Happy Campers Class?

5. And how long did The Happy Campers Class last?

6.Also after the Happy Campers Class was over (or did it go on for your whole trip) how many free, reasearching days did you have left?

From or Love,

Brooke B. 3-R ( 3rd Roberts)

P.S. Reading your journal is soooooooo, soooooooo, sooooooo fun!!!

Kirk Beckendorf

Hi Brooke,I am sooo glad you are enjoying the journal.
Sorry I misspelled Natalia's name.
I bet you get an A for the complement you gave my sister.
I am scheduled to fly back to New Zealand on Jan 25th.
Speaking of aliens, you are not allowed to bring living things here because they do not want to contaminate the environment with alien plants, animals, fungus or other living things.
I have a roomate who is a scientist, although he hsn't been around much because he flew out to work on a glacier.
Thre were 11 other peope in Happy Camper school.  It lasted for two days and one night. So we have alot more time for the work tat we will be doing here.
Mr. B.
