Janet, It's good to hear from you, Preparation is important in almost everything one does.
Our 8th grade girls are playing a volleyball game today, they and the coaches, have had to put in a lot of preparation. I am giving my students a 6 weeks test this week, they and I, have put in a lot of preparation to get them ready for the test. Hopefully they put in some more preparation by studying.
To go to Antarctica takes a lot of preparation, besides the medical test. Imagine what the science team has to prepare for, to fly around the continent working on weather stations. Imagine that you have flown all of the way to Antarctica, then flown in a helicopter to a remote weather station. Then, while standing on the ice digging through your tools you realize that you have forgotten to bring a screwdriver.
