Hi Mr. Taterka, The trip sounds incredible! I was interested in knowing if the change of seasons affects the amount of carbon dioxide released from the melting of the permafrost? Or if more carbon dioxide is released at any specific time of year? Thank you! Andrea Ricca

Great question! There's a huge difference in CO2 movement in different seasons. I'll let you think about this and we can talk about it in class next month. Why would the movement of CO2 between the air and the land be different in summer and winter, and what would the difference be?
