Hi Mr. Taterka, How has your trip been so far? I was just wondering if there was any way to slow the effect of melting permafrost..? Also, how fast is the permafrost melting? Are there any positive effects of the melting permafrost or just negative? What was your favorite animal you've seen while in Alaska? Looking forward to class, Audrey O'Neill

My trip to Alaska was great, and my favorite animal that I saw was probably the grizzly bear, especially because I got to see 2 of them playing together from close by. The only way to slow thawing permafrost is to slow climate change, which will require a reduction of global carbon emissions, which is proving very hard to do.
