How do you tell apart the diffrent kinds of ice? You wrote somthing about cake ice and pancake ice?

I have a nice field manual that I use to tell the ice apart. It's called "The Observers Guide to Sea Ice." I also ask Carlton Ray, one of the scientists here who knows a lot about the ice! Lee Harris also knows lots about the ice too.warmly,
