Hey gal,

you journal from april 18th was really interesting!  Do the cores have different strata levels?  It was great to hear ya on Tue!  -Robin

Yes the cores have a small amount of strata, which is really the line where the oxygen stops and there is no more making it anoxic. 
 
The cores are actually kept and the amount of oxygen, nitrogen, and argon are measured for several days to get answers about bottom sediment flux and nutrient release and consumption.
