What do you mean by "Station" in the title of your journal entries?

Kristin- 
By Station, I mean the location where the ship is currently sampling. 
 
The science team runs a continuous numbering of every spot or “station” that any work occurs when the ship is stopped. This is one way that someone can look back in the field catalog and know my exact location based on what station number.
