Robyn,

Hey gal!  How are the sightings of wildlife?  Any specific technology you're using for wildlife....binoculars & GPS??  Any seals yet?  (I hope no scars!!)  :)  Do you have scientific names for me?  Are you doing any hands-on work with wildlife?  I'm going to use this to show the KIND kids & then have them ask you more questions.  Thanks!  Take care!!  You're doing great....LOVE the journals!!  :)

Laura,You would love all the bird sightings. There are three bird observers on board and I am learning all the Arctic birds. The basic equipment used are binoculars and GPS. With the seals, they also use helicopter surveys and even the zodiac boats to get out on the ice to tag. We have seen a few seals. The spotted seal, Phoca largha, and the fur seal, Arctocephalus gazella.
