Hello Craig,

My students Uriel and Derek would like to know if jellyfish survive in the Bering Sea in winter, do they migrate? And how exactly you study water, and ice?

Thanks! The experience is incredible and I have been helping them on the back deck as much as possible, even in the 40+knot winds and temps hovering around 10. As long as you keep moving, you doThe CTD is a big water sampling unit that is lowered into the water to the bottom, and scientists have the ability to take 12 samples at different depths. The CTD stands for conductivity, temperature, and depth. I will write a journal for you today about the CTD in more detail.
