Janet, I logged on to see the latest on PolarTrec, and there you were! I am so excited for you!LaughingBy now, you have probably begun doing some of the science. What is the depth of the sea where the benthic studies are done?

Enjoy every minute!! Lollie

Hi Lollie! Yes, I get to be a PolarTREC participant for a week and it's been really interesting and a lot of fun! I have been enjoying the science! So many researchers all working toward a similar goal - very interesting.
Anyway, with regard to your question, the average depth of is about 75 meters for this part of the Bering Sea. This is because we are located on the continental shelf. Of course, it can be deeper at certain sampling stations or more shallow. But that was the average that one scientist gave me.
Thanks for asking and reading the journals.
