Hi Jackie, Your nephews wanted to know if you and your team were able to eat Thanksgiving dinner. If you did, what did you have? How do you wash dishes? And the big question was what do you do with the leftovers? I explained that there are cooks that have to think about those things, but they wanted to know from you. I have done my duty. We are reading your blogs and can't wait for you to post more.

Hi Judy, Taye and AveryI actually had Thanksgiving Dinner in McMurdo. We have had a lot of weather delays so I was in McMurdo for Thanksgiving Dinner. There is a dining hall and chefs and we had quite the regular Thanksgiving Holiday dinner. I must admit it was nice to be warm and have a regular turkey dinner. Normally in the tents after we eat, we wipe the dishes clean with a little water if needed, but there is no dish washing as you know it. This is one time it is not considered impolite to lick your plate clean!
