Hello this is Nathan from period 5. I think that the the warmer winter ground temperatures on the experimental side will affect how the plants grow in the spring. This will happen because the snow will melt, letting the plants absorb the water and grow.

Good thinking but remember that we will shovel all of the extra snow away from the the experimental side so that all of the tundra receives the same amount of water when it melts. The difference with the experimental side is still the warmer temperatures that will give the plants a head start in the spring. Thanks,
Mr. Wood
