From John Oatis Per. 4 Here is a guess. The warmer winter ground affects the plant growth in the spring because the ice is still underground so it will take the plants to grow quicker. The reason why they wl grow quicker is because the premafrost is letting off Co2

John Wood

Good thinking. But with the ground warmer there will be less ice in the ground. The warmer temperatures and the melting ground will help the plants grow earlier in the spring. Thanks,
Mr. Wood
