Hello Mr. Wood, thank you for responding to my first question. I will tell my friends at school tomorrow. I hope you and your team are having a blast out there. Can you please tell me why does the tundra look dry and at the same time it's snowy? Thank you. Jessica Mrs. Dennis class Courreges Elementary

John Wood

Thank you for the comments. You are very clever! The tundra does look dry with snow on it because there is lots of water in the snow and in the ground, but it frozen and can't be used by the plants right now. In the spring and summer, when the snow melts and the water is released, the plants really take off and everything gets pretty green. When I am up here in July I can show you how green it gets!Keep up the good work, and say hello to Mrs. Dennis for me,
Mr. Wood
