Dear Mr. Wood,

Hello Mr. Wood! Sorry I didn't write sooner. The factors that cause this area to be tundra are the angle that sunlight hits it, the precipitation, and possibly the soil composition. The plants and animals would have to adapt, the soil composition would change because of the way the plants and animals change, and the precipitation levels would change. There are no large trees in this tundra area because the roots wouldn't be able to spread out because of the permafrost. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you have had a good time and will enjoy the next few days before coming back on Monday.

                           Sincerely,
                                  Elizabeth Markus
