hi mr.wood, this is sarah from period 3. from your journal question i think the water is moving fast cause you can see the movement of the water on the pic.i think the kinds of trees were pine trees like the one we use for christmas trees.hows the weather in alaska?are the results good yours truly, sarah

John Wood

Sarah,Good to hear from you. Thank you for thinking about those questions. The water in the river that is in the photo is mostly frozen, so the water you see is not moving much at all. But look at the shape of the river and the path that it seems to be following. Would it take fast and strong water to make those turns or slow running water? The trees are not pine, but they are evergreens so good guess!
Cheers,

hi mr wood, i believe that before the waves froze it was a strong current .the waves looked like the waves were colliding.i think thats what caused the zig-zags were formed. right now im in kauai. what is the temperature in alaska.what was the hottest temp.?what was the coldest?
yours truly,
sarah

John Wood

Hello Sarah,The highest temps here so far has been 45 degrees F. I'm not sure what the lowest temps have been yet but it has not been very cold yet!
Keep thinking about the river and the trees. We will talk.
