Hello Mr. Wood, I am just wondering about the dogs and the carbon balance experiment where you put the glass box over the plants. I don't really understand that part. Can you explain it to me? Also, how does it feel to work with the dogs? Have you ever fallen off the sled or got smooshed between trees? I would love to have been there and experienced it all with you but of course I have school. I guess if I learn and study, I might be able to go on expeditions like you too. Did the dogs like you at first too? Also, when you go on these expeditions, what kind of clothing do you have to wear and what kind of equipment do you have to bring? Did you ever get a close-up or a kind of incident with a moose? Your Friend, Viviane Pham

Thank you for the questions and the comments. About the carbon balance experiments, alot of that is explained in the journals. If you are interested you can read some of them and ask me other questions. Being with the dogs is great! They are so nice and full of energy. I did fall off the sled a couple of times! It was a little scary but alot of fun, and yes the trees can be dangerous!! I also get clothing together for each expedition. You have to be prepared or you could get in trouble on a bad weather day. Explorers have a saying, there is no bad weather, just bad clothing! I have gotten pretty close to a moose but no problems yet. You know Viviane that if you work hard and learn new things, you can go on any expedition you want!! I think you will one day. Thanks,
Mr. Wood
