Will you be taking any measurements, as part of the study, of CO2 as it relates to ocean acidification and its impact on levels of zooplankton? As part of the NASA LEARN project, I have begun a study of CO2 as it relates to ocean acidification and the health of coral reefs around the world and would be very interested in any findings!

Roy,The carbon that is being traced is C13 (an isotope of carbon). This ratio of this particular carbon in an organism can determine if its food source is land or ocean based. The majority of the scientist on board are trying to figure out why Hanna Shoal is so productive. We have chemist, biologist, and physical oceanographers on board. This is a long way to say we are not studying acidification of the ocean.
Keep the questions coming.
