What I want to know is, how did Al manage to get a flat tire while working on Svalbard? The photos are great! Keep them coming.

Julie, We were on a layover in Oslo, so Al played tour guide to us newbies and called a cab for us to go into the city for a couple of hours. The cab flatted on the highway and Al jumped out to help the cabbie who was working with cars and trucks wiping by him. We made it to Oslo alive and then power walked around a park and part of downtown before heading back to the airport. I hope that is the only miss step we have on this trip! Right now Al is still out in the field searching for a lost sediment trap that has him vexed, but you can bet he hasn't lost his sense of humor.
