Cheri, I am enjoying your blog and can't wait to see the pictures. I really liked the weather balloon that they launched. I saw them launch one from the ARM facility in Barrow that had a sonde on it. We were able to go inside in the warm trailer and watch its progress after it disappeared from sight. One of the cool things it did was a complete change of 180 degrees in direction. It hit a totally different wind pattern at a higher altitude. What other kinds of meteorological data are they taking out at your camp? Do they get storm forecasts out there? Is it a windy place? I'm glad you are staying warmer now at "night." You must be getting a lot of hours of daylight. Keep up the good work and when you get really cold, just "Go to your happy place," as my daughter would say. Betsy Wilkening

> Betsy, the weather ballon really did save the day. Without it, we mightstill be there for another 2 weeks because that is when the next flight
came. I had to amend that article because the guy who repored the height
to me did not use binoculars so I had to find the guy that did.I loved
my trip but was glad to get the blogging done. It was helpful for me to
learn so much, but I felt like it took up a lot of time.
