What has been the highest temperature and the lowest temperature since you have been experimenting the Dissolved Organic Matter in the two streams?

Unfortunately, I cannot completely answer this question. When the team was staying at the Lake Fryxell field camp we did not have an outdoor thermometer. However, I can give you the average temperatures for McMurdo since we arrived in mid-November. For November, the highest recorded temperature at McMurdo Station was 5.9*C (42.6*F) and the lowest temperature was -16.9*C (1.6*F), with a mean temperature of -6.5*C (20.3*F). For the month of December, the highest temperature was 5.8*C (42.4*F), the lowest recorded temperature at McMurdo Station was -9.7*C (14.5*F) and the average, or mean, temperature was -3.1*C (37.6*F). A heck of a lot warmed than I expected when planning for this trip- I brought way too many pairs of long johns and not enough t-shirts.Keep cool, Sarah
