 - is the weather getting colder?
 - how are you getting along with other crew members?
 - have you seen any whales?
 - and have you seen any really big swells? 
 - what food are you eating on the ship
 - animals?

Hi Mrs. Ogren's Class! I miss all of you tons-- especially Mrs. Ogren!The weather is getting much colder and we have a big storm coming out way! It is only 3 C with a wind chill of -5.2. I am getting along great withthe other crew members! We have crew members ranging from the sciencecrew, electronics techs, marine techs, and the boat crew. Everybody isreally nice and friendly. I have not seen any whales yet, but we willstart looking for them hopefully tomorrow when the weather is better. Wehave had some pretty big swells, at about 15 ft, but with the storm theyare predicting 25- 30 ft. swells-- a little scary! The ship actually hasreally good food, sometimes they have a theme like last night we hadMexican food and the night before Asian. They always have a salad bar andtoo many yummy deserts! I have not seen many animals yet, just a lot ofAlbatros birds. The temp. inside our ship is comfortable, about 65 F. Thanks for the questions! Mrs. Pena
