Dear Mr. Wood,

In one of the picture you posted, I saw that the ice caves had many shades of blue in there. Do you know why? Please reply soon.

Hello Anne,
The blue color comes from the sunlight coming through the ice.  The ice is water, and water will filter out different colors from the sunlight.  The red wavelengths filter out first and the blues reflect through.  Sometimes the different thicknesses of the ice will cause the blue to change shades.  It's beautiful!

P.S. Also, I noticed that I accidentally posted my question twice. My very first question was pushed to the bottom of the list, so I didn't see it there. See you soon! (hopefully) -Anne
