Hey Mr. Wood in pic #3 how thic does the ice have to be to hold something that heavy? Have you put up the winning flag? Did you get to fix the camera? If you didnt when do you think you will be up?

Hello Rose,
Good questions.  The ice is very strong stuff.  When the planes land on the sea ice there just has to be 5ft of thickness.  The C-17 that brought us here landed on the runway that is on the ice shelf.  The ice there is much thicker.  The flag has made it to the top and you will be seeing pictures soon.  The camera will not be fixed this season.  Sorry!
