Dear Mr.Wood,

When you said you had found different caves, how many have you found? it is raining today. Does Antarctica ever get rain like us? If not, why? Is Mt. Erebus a cinder-cone volcano, a composite volcano, or a shield ,stratow, volcano? Please answer all my questions if you can. Have fun! Bye!

Hello Jennifer,We have found 5 caves so far, but I have only been in three of them so far.  It doesn't rain in most of the antarctic because it is just too cold.  Most of the water in the air freezes before it has a chance to drop.  When you come back from break you we will talk about what kind of volcano Erebus is and you will have a chance to tell me what you think and why.  Keep the questions coming and have a wonderful holiday break!
Cheers,
Mr. Wood
