Geologic Climate Research in Siberia

Hi, Mr Martin, Our names are German Delgadillo, and Roger Angel. We are from East Palo Alto Academy High School. Our teacher Is Ms. Christina Galvan. Our question is "Why did you choose to get involved in the geologic climate research in Siberia?"

German and Roger, Great question. One of the things that I found very interesting about this project is the way many different branches of science involved in this project. As an Earth Scientist, I am interested in Astronomy, Geology and Meteorology. This project is using sediments (geology) to help understand the climate (meteorology) and the lake was formed by an asteroid impact (Astronomy). So this is a cool project to bring many of my interests together.
