Hey Lesley,

You had t-shirt weather for Happy Camper!! And might I say, nice snow trench!! Sorry to hear things are backed up, but that tends to be the norm. I'm curious as to how far the sea ice edge is from McMurdo at this point in the season?? Have you been able to sneak a hike up Ob Hill yet?

Here's hoping that you'll on your way to your glacier very soon!!

Smiles! Michele

Michele,It has been t-shirt weather the entire time I've been here. It's actually been nicer than at home! Yesterday we had a high of 36F and absolutely NO wind! Still can't see the edge of the sea ice, but they moved to Pegasus (airfield on the ice shelf) last Friday and you can see cracks and puddles on the sea ice. I heard a report that there are 2-2.5 foot deep puddles, so it won't be long.
I'm planning on going up Ob Hill this afternoon and am signed up for a walking tour of the pressure ridges this evening.
Having a great time!
