How much information are you actually finding in the field that doesnt need to go to the lab first?

With John Stone's research all our samples have to be processed back in the lab. The only information they collect immediately in the field is a description of the location in which they're found and their geographic coordinates.Brenda Hall's research is much more field based. While in the field, she was mapping ancient (within the past 2-3 million years) glacial deposits. These locations can be drawn on their maps while in the field.
