5/18: How large must a body of ice be to be considered a glacier?

wow, I am going to take a guess at this one. a glacier has to be ice sliding down a hill. and it has to last season to season. and it has to be around long enough for the snow that made it to compress into ice. and large glaciers disappear into smaller ones.. the smallest now is about the size of a football field, but who knows, smaller ones might exist.
