Question for 5/9: What is underneath the glacier? How far does it extend into the earth? Question for 5/10: Can a glacier form on an active volcano (similar to Mt St Helens)? Thanks, Ellen, Jackie, and Kenji

yes, i believe a small alpine type glacier has formed on mt st helens ... correct me... and also mt hood if you think that is active. under the glacier is just hard granite rock.
