i do not think the data on the friction plate reflects global warming trends...it would require many more years of data, the friction is largely dependent on ice melt, and this in turn is very locally dependent on temperature.

getting outside the tunnel you have 24 hours of daylight, the birds chirp at odd hours, the first days were pure sun then rain

once the sensor is in you do nothing but let the computer pick up the data,, about one measurement every five seconds or so....that fills a hard drive quickly.
