Q1. Is the ice pure, or does it have dirt or other materials in it?

Q2. Are there any major signs that show if the glacier is melting?

Q3. What is it like walking on top of the glacier. Is it slick, or is there a layer of slush or something on the surface?

the glacier is not pure, it has lots of sediment here at the bottom.well, the water is dripping all over the place, lots of it is surface melt, but much of it is melt at the bottom.
have not walked the top of the glacier, not sure I will get the chance.
