how much gas is trapped inside the glaciers?

well now, that is a great question that scientists are measuring by drilling core samples... you can see pockets of water encased in the ice, and small bubbles of air. so there must be quite a bit... i would say less than the amount of air you get in an ordinary ice cube at hope, as this is really clear ice.
