Hello Missy and Gang!

It's been wonderful reading your entries and following along on your travels.

I had a question reguarding the adaptation of the wildlife in the area.

Have you noticed any significant changes in the local wildlife's normal habits as a result of the changing weather patterns in the recent years?

Hello & thank you for your question!

Our focus here is not to document changes in wildlife patterns, and the PI's have not recognized many changes. One change that has occurred is the presence of a species of mollusks that has not been in this area since the early Holocene. Sometimes there are short term changes due to the absence or presence and sea ice where the polar bears rely on the sea ice to get to the seals.
thanks for following the expedition!
