How are you? Looks like you have had fun! Do you have to have certain food since your way out there?? Stay warm!! :) We miss you!!!!!!

Hi Tony and Matthew!!(Great to hear from you two)
So far I've seen a Weddell seal (it was really big and I could even hear
it breathing! It was just lying out on the ice near where we were).
I've also seen a Skua. I don't know if you remember from when the
researchers came to visit, but they mentioned how Skuas come and grab
people's food if they travel from the cafeteria to their dorms. Well,
just yesterday I witnessed this! Skuas are large!
I also saw tiny organisms called pterrapods when I went down into a tube
that lets you see organisms under water. I'll show you pictures of these
guys a little later.
I hope to see penguins, but I'll probably have to get out of McMurdo to
do that!

Hi Alison and Chris!I'm great!! I've got a bit of a runny nose but I think I'm on the mend!
I've been having a blast! (Did you see the journal of me snowmobiling?
I was thinking you all would really enjoy that!).
The food here is pretty similar to food you'd get in the states. For
example, I just ate breakfast and had eggs, sausage and potatoes. They
also have cereal, oatmeal, and sometimes cheese grits! Lunch and dinner
is also really good and has a wide range of food. Last night I ate a big
salad (they have a salad bar every night), soup, and mashed potatoes.
There's also amazing desserts! There had strawberry pomegranate
cupcakes, which may sound strange to you, but they were delicious!
I'll have to write a whole journal just on food for you two!
I can't wait to see you all and hope you're doing well!
