Hello Chris and Xavier!The food is EXCELLENT! What's even better is I don't have to prepare it
or clean up at the end! Tonight for dinner I had lasagna, salad, bread
and a rice crispie treat for dessert!

Hi Gabby,I can't tell you the exact date I come back on because it might change.
As of right now I'm scheduled to leave Antarctica on Dec. 30th, which
should have me back in Austin to teach before school starts back up on
January 4th!

Hello Anabel, Emmy and Esperanza,I've been really great! I still can't believe how lucky I am to get down
here and share everything with you all!
Right now it is 23°F, but it feels like 21°F because of a slight wind. I
think it was colder earlier today though.
Antarctica is an amazing place--the sun never sets right now, so it is
surreal to be out late in the evening. The people are incredible--they
come from all over the world and are studying amazing things!
We eat regular food just like you would! Tonight we had lasagna, salad
and bread, with rice crispie treats for dessert!
When I'm at McMurdo station, the researchers and I each have dorm rooms.
I have a roommate who isn't even in my project--she is in a different
research project. We sleep in small rooms that have typically two beds.
My dorm room has a dresser and desk in it too. When I get out to the AGO
site (outside the South Pole) I'll be sleeping in a mountain tent on the
ground with a sleeping bag though.
I am having a blast but can't wait to return!
