Have you seen any skuas yet?

Did researchers at the other stations (besides McMurdo) used to dump sewage and chemicals into the ocean?

Are there any international environmental regulations for Antarctica, maybe a part of the treaty?

Hi Jorge!I haven't seen any Skuas yet, but I've heard about them plenty! I've
been away from McMurdo out on the ice so perhaps that's why, but in the
dining hall I have seen people wrapping up and covering their food so
the Skuas won't get them as they walk to another building.
I'll be sure to post a picture of a Skua when I see one!
There are strict environmental regulations for Antarctica at McMurdo
station and general regulations for the whole of Antarctica. I will be
writing more about this since it's a big part of our research project.
Thanks for reading and keep posted for more!
Sincerely,
Michelle
