Are there any Old Antarctic Explorer's there...like Art DeVries, from The Univ. of Illinois at Champagne, Urbana?

Yes, Art DeVries is still working at McMurdo.  I commented in the journal about a lecture he hosted on the genetic structure of Antarctic fish and the glycol-proteins that they manufacture to prevent ice crystals in the blood.  Dr. Ponganis with the penguin ranch is still working down here and Dr. Marcus Horning with the seals and Dr. Stacy Kim in the marine lab.  I am sure there are others in the atmospheric and marine sciences but I was not working within those areas.  At South Pole there are several physics and atmospheric projects that have continued for over a decade.  Ann Linsley
