Ice Core Drilling in West Antarctica

Greetings from the 8th grade class at Mound Valley Grade School in Mound Valley, Kansas. How many people does it take to run the ice core drill? Blake,Sami,and Kara

Hello from down south Blake, Sami, and Kara:
 
The ice drill requires ~10 people, however, there are tens of others who make the whole camp run. We have carpenters, cooks, engineers, core handlers and other scientists all who make it possible to collect the ice and run the drill. Once I am at camp, keep your eyes out for updates on the crew members at WAIS. I will be updating you on who is there, where they are from, and what brought them to Antarctica.
