Hi Heidi, another short question from the kids...Will you have a Thanksgiving Day Dinner where you are? They think it sounds like a good place for frozen turkeys!

 Yes, we will have Thanksgiving here at McMurdo! There are about 1000 people at the station currently, so a tight schedule is being kept to prevent the kitchen being too overloaded. You can choose to eat at 3pm, 5pm, or 7pm. Our meal will be complete with turkey and all the fixin's!
 To prepare for the giant meal we'll be having, several of us are participating in a short "Turkey Trot" run from the station, out on to the sea ice, and back again! I'm going to wear my cape to make me more aerodynamic!
 I'll be sure to send pictures!
 Our team is sending all of you well wishes for a very fun, fattening Thanksgiving!

Hi Heidi!!!
So my mom was asking about you the other day, and i decided to try to find you on facebook, and somehow I came across this website??
I haven't seen you in forever, but it looks like you are having quite the adventurous life!! I'm a senior this year and Scott will be in high school next year..crazy how time flies isn't it?
