Ms. Lancaster this is Daniel Chirino from Ms. Davenport's class. I really want to know if there are polar Bears and if there are have you seen any yet? How big are they and what do they eat? Hi Ms. Lancaster I am Alec Acosta from Ms. Davenport's class. I really want to know HOW COLD IS IT REALLY (IN DEGREES) AND HOW DOES THE WEATHER FEEL? I have never seen so much ice Ms. Lancaster. Are there any seals or sea lions like in San Francisco? Last week Ms. Kenny taught the class about how bright it is when there is Ice and Snow - how bright is it down there? We will be waiting to hear from you.

Hey Daniel! There actually aren't any polar bears in Antarctica. They only live in
the Arctic, which is at the top of the Earth, not the bottom. Polar
bears actually eat lots of things, but one of their favorite meals is
seals.
Hi Alec!
It's about 2 degrees C (or 34 degrees F). The weather has been cold,
but it's not too bad outside, as long as you wear warm coats outside.
I haven't seen any seals or sea lions yet, but there are definitely
seals that live down here. We haven't gotten to the ice yet, so it's
not too bright. In fact, today it's really, really foggy outside and
you can't see much of anything. I'll be posting pictures once we get
into the ice.
