Hey Ms. Lancaster, I have a question for you. I would like to know what reseach are you doing on the boat? -Ivana C.

Right now, we're still crossing the Drake Passage, but our first stoponce we get across will be pulling up a whale bone that was dropped to
the bottom 2 years ago. The scientists working on it will be looking at
the community of organisms that live on whale bones when they drop to
the sea bottom. We'll probably arrive there on Thursday, so I'll have
lots of pictures and information about that soon. In addition, there's
a bunch of other research, but this is the first big station of the trip.
