Our shore food was pretty similar to the meals we had on the ship. But we did liven things up a bit with some freshly harvested plants like chevril, kelp, and "elephant ear" (a.k.a. la'-puch in Russian). 
For artifacts, we saw a wide range--all the way from the needle cases and awls made from Albatross bones, to stone projectile points (sometimes called "arrow heads"),

to finely decorated pieces of pottery.

 
For animals, we saw quite a few pinnipeds, which include harbor seals, fur seals, and sea lions. But most of what we saw was thousands and thousands of birds (dominated by fulmars, but also lots of slaty-backed gulls, black-legged kitiwakes, murres, auklets, and shearwaters).
